Job Description: BMK Secure Solutions, LLC is looking for a part-time Human Resources Support Specialist to provide project based assistance to our HR department as needed. 

Job Description:

The Human Resources Support Specialist provides support in functional areas of a human resources department, which may include recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development and training. As a member of the Human Resources Team you will work on a wide range of projects related to HR policy, compliance, on-boarding, and employee benefits.  This is a hands-on opportunity to learn human resources management and leadership skills within a rapidly growing organization.

Duties May Include:

  • The HR Support Specialist may assist current HR employees in their daily duties, may be requested to participate in the hiring process for new employees.
  • Assists the Project Manager and Operation Specialist in managing hiring programs as necessary
  • Participate in professional development activities
  • Assists HR Administrator in creating and maintaining employee information; including new hires, terms, transfers, promotions, etc.
  • Provide strong, timely customer service and assist in resolving employee inquiries related to employment, benefits, and other HR issues
  • Organizing and maintaining all confidential material
  • Other duties as assigned
     

Skills and Abilities:

  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within   Resources
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. May have in creating and improving upon existing guidelines.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and organized
  • Must be able to work independently and/or with a team
  • Must be comfortable working in a virtual environment
     

Education and Experience:

  • 0-2 years Clerical or Administrative experience
  • May require an associate's degree or its equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Related Certificates may be accepted upon review
  • Human Resources or related experience, related certificates, administrative or clerical experience a plus 

 
Requirements:

1) Must live in a designated HUBZone area (check to see if you live in a HUBZone by going to www.map.sba.gov/hubzone/maps/)
2) Must be one or more of the following:
        - Active Duty/Reserves/National Guard
        - Military Veteran
        - Military Spouse
        - Current College Student
3) Must be a U.S. Citizen
4) Must be able to provide documentation verifying residence in a HUBZone (i.e. Driver’s license, rental agreement, voter registration etc.)
5) Must be able to work a min of 40 hours/month

AttendanceRegular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.

Other Essential FunctionsMust put forward a professional behavior; grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position.
