Job DescriptionThe IT Support Technician assists in the installation, maintenance, and general support of systems (PCs). Will troubleshoot technical issues as they arise, and assist users with questions or problems. May help perform system backups and recovery and install new software, as well as configure firewall settings and general software/hardware support.

Duties Include:  

  • Software and hardware installation/troubleshooting
  • Anti-Virus software support
  • Wireless network troubleshooting
  • Internet Firewall settings support
  • Other issues as they arise
  • Participate in professional development

Education and Experience:

Must have or be working towards an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, or related field

Skills and Abilities:

  • In depth knowledge of hardware and software interactions
  • Be able to trouble shoot technical issues related to a variety of equipment (PCs, printers, scanners etc.)
  • Handle a variety of issues as they arise
  • Performs a variety of tasks.

Works under limited supervision where a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

AttendanceRegular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
